February 11, 2012 - A Boeing employee, part of an escort
team walking alongside a Japan Airlines flight at Paine
Field, Everett, Washington as the aircraft was being
towed, somehow got trapped beneath the tires of the 787
Dreamliner jet at approximately 6 PM, on February 3.
The employee, who began working for Boeing in 2010, was
dragged and then trapped beneath the wheels of the 787
Dreamliner. Maintenance workers and emergency responders
using an industrial jack, jacked the aircraft off the
ground and were able to free the Boeing worker 30
minutes later.

below the knee according to two coworkers and a friend of the
family. On Friday the employee remained in serious condition in
intensive care.
Larry
Wilson of Boeing Commercial Airplanes said ?Boeing cares about
the safety and well being of all the employees who work at our
sites. We will investigate the cause of this incident and will
implement the necessary changes to avoid a future reoccurrence.?
Boeing
spokesman Marc Birtel said the company and the Machinists union,
along with the state's Department of Labor and Industries and
other agencies, are investigating how the accident happened. |
