Monday Night, The United States Began Airstrikes Against ISIS
Targets In
Syria |

September 23, 2014 - On Monday the Sunni
jihadist group ISIS which is active in
Iraq
and Syria
called on terrorist attacks on the
United States
and its allies.
“Hinder those who want to harm your brothers.
The best thing you can do is to strive to your
best and kill any disbeliever, whether he be
French, American or from any of their allies” an
ISIS spokesman said.
By Monday evening, around 8 PM, the
United States and collision
forces mounted air strikes against ISIS targets
in
Syria. Pentagon
Press Secretary, Rear Admiral John Kirby said "I
can confirm that
U.S. military and partner
nation forces are undertaking military action
against ISIL [ISIS] terrorists in
Syria
using a mix of fighter, bomber and Tomahawk Land
Attack Missiles".

"Given that these operations are ongoing, we are
not in a position to provide additional details
at this time. The decision to conduct theses
strikes was made earlier today by the U.S.
Central Command commander under authorization
granted him by the commander in chief. We will
provide more details later as operationally
appropriate."
ISIS which has proclaimed Iraq as its religious state and authority over
all Muslims worldwide seeks control over the
middle east to include Jordan, Israel,
Palestine, Lebanon,
Cyprus and part of southern Turkey. The
United Nations and Amnesty International have
accused the group of grave human rights abuses
and calls the group as a terrorist organization.
At this time it is unknown if the United
States received approval from the
Syrian government. It is also reported that
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and
Jordan is involved in the operation in Syria.
It is believed that Raqqa, a Syrian stronghold
of ISIS was among the targets of the operation.
American military officials reported Tomahawk
cruise missiles were fired from United States
Navy ships on
weapons supplies, depots, barracks and buildings
ISIS uses for command and control. Up until now,
ISIS has been able to take over cities and
operate in Syria without fear of
reprisal. However, this flight has turned
from a regional war to now a global war.
