October 16, 2014 - The NTSB will complete the
investigation into the crash of a National
Airlines (D.B.A. National Air Cargo) Boeing 747
(N949CA) at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. The cargo flight
crashed on takeoff on its way from Bagram to Dubai. All seven crew members were killed and
the airplane was destroyed.
On April 29, 2013, at about 10:56 AM local time,
a National Air Cargo B747-400, registration
N949CA, crashed shortly after takeoff from
Bagram Air Base (OAIX),
Afghanistan.
According to witnesses reports, the B747 attain
a very steep nose-up attitude shortly after
takeoff before descending into the ground near
the end of the runway.
