Falcon 50 corporate jet (F-GLSA) departing from
Moscow's
Vnukovo
Airport
for
Paris
crashed on Monday killing all four onboard. One
of the passengers onboard was the CEO of
France’s oil and gas giant Total S.A.
Christophe de Margerie, 63, the Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer of Total, one of the six
"Supermajor" oil companies in the world was the
only passenger onboard, the other three onboard
were crewmembers.
The super mid-sized, long-range corporate jet,
was on its takeoff roll under heavy fog and snow
when its landing clipped a snowplow as the
aircraft was departing the runway. The pilot
declared emergency with air traffic control and
reported the aircraft had been damage and one of
the three engines was on fire.
